Looking for ways to make becoming & being a model citizen fun...Thanks! |

The model citizen is challenged by a prevailing game that rewards indifference, competition, and self interest. What this question suggests is a counter-game to an existing game. The first step is to create an economic game that rewards the player for doing exactly what they are good at, have a deep interest in, and for which they are naturally pre-disposed to do. Instead, we reward people for compliance to social norm. One possible counter-game will award ownership of knowledge assets instead of material assets. Players would register their unique combination of knowledge assets (like legos) with the objective of building something in their community. Somebody with very bad intentions would not be able to build a worthy structure whereas groups with a common good objective can form model enterprise. The dataset owned by the players now becomes very valuable to civic leaders, trust based transactions, shared asset business plans, etc. The owners of the game control and deploy their data to influence the monetary incentives (not the other way around). the counter-game is then in place. |
